Call for Designers for the TRANOÏ Tokyo and Paris Fashion Weeks

Applications are now open for Africa x TRANOÏ, a prestigious opportunity to showcase your designs at TRANOÏ Tokyo (September 3–4, during Japan Fashion Week) and TRANOÏ Paris (October 2–5, during Paris Fashion Week). Selected designers will benefit from direct access to buyers and sales support, global press visibility, and a presence at the CANEX Pavilions. In addition, three standout designers will be featured in a curated runway moment at the CANEX Fashion Show in Paris.
IVÓ SellSmart Incubator Program for Young Fashion Entrepreneurs

The second cohort of the IVÓ SellSmart Incubator Program is set to mentor young fashion entrepreneurs, helping them navigate and grow within the industry. Building on the success of the first edition, this year’s program, titled Scaling Fashion Project, will also offer financial support to small business owners, providing both guidance and capital to scale their ventures.
African Fashion Students and Designers will win $500 Grant From Merck Foundation

Merck Foundation, a philanthropic arm of the German multinational focused on health, well-being, and scientific advancement, is using fashion as a vehicle for advocacy through its 2025 Fashion Awards. Open to African fashion students and designers, the awards aim to spark awareness around key health issues.
In partnership with several African First Ladies, ten winners will each receive a $500 grant to bring their designs to life across two themes. The first theme, “More than a Mother”, will task designers to create designs around crucial issues like the education of the girl child, women's empowerment, and ending female gender mutilation, amongst other women-focused issues. Interested candidates should share original sketches as an attachment with the subject line- Merck Foundation Fashion Awards "More Than a Mother" 2025. Applicants should also include their name, country, institution name alongside and contact details.

One of the key themes, “Diabetes and Hypertension”, challenges designers to create pieces that promote awareness and education about these pressing health conditions. Interested candidates should share original sketches as an attachment, with their full name, country, name of institution, and contact details to submit@merck-foundation.com. The subject line should be addressed as Merck Foundation Fashion Awards 2025 "Diabetes and Hypertension".
Debonair Afrik Call for Collaborators

Debonair Afrik, a fashion media publication based in Ghana, is currently seeking creative collaborations with designers, makeup artists, stylists, photographers, videographers, art directors, and models. Interested creatives should send portfolios to production.debonairafriik@gmail.com

Open Roles At This is Us

This Is Us, a sustainable Nigerian fashion brand based in Lagos, is hiring for the roles of Fashion Designer and Social Media Manager.
The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative fashion collections, while the Social Media Manager will develop and manage content across the brand’s digital platforms.
Fashion Production Manager at a Ghanaian Ready-To-Wear Brand

P.M. Renaissance, an international womenswear ready-to-wear brand based in Ghana, is hiring a Production Manager. The role involves providing support and assistance to the Operations Manager.
Ideal candidates should be fashion-oriented and have a solid background in manufacturing or a related field.
Fashion Content Coordinator and Creative Assistant at Cute-Saint

Cute-Saint, a Nigerian ethical fashion brand, is currently hiring for two roles: Fashion Content Coordinator and Creative Assistant.
Applicants for the Fashion Content Coordinator role must be based in Lagos and have a strong grasp of fashion, culture, and lifestyle trends. Responsibilities include developing and executing content strategies and working closely with the team to maintain brand consistency.
The Creative Assistant will support creative direction, styling, and visual storytelling. The role involves collaborating with designers, photographers, and the marketing team, as well as coordinating photoshoots, mood boards, and brand visuals.
