What Happened in the African Fashion Industry this Week

Pith Africa shared new and exciting updates with us this week, along with News from the Olu of Warri Kingdom, we aren't sure which we are most excited about.

Event

South Africa is set to spotlight its vibrant design scene this October with the launch of Design Week South Africa, a dynamic new event split between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Founded by fashion designer Margot Molyneux, the festival will showcase local talent across various disciplines, offering a platform for creativity and innovation in architecture, interiors, product design, and more. This much-anticipated event aims to inspire the next generation of designers while continuing the legacy of Cape Town's renowned Design Indaba

Pop-Up

Pith Africa has announced a 3-day pop-up at the cloud factory lagos from the 23rd - 25th of August. Their new products will be featured, drinks by quacktails, and sound will be provided by the pith sound system.

The Olu of Warri Kingdom and his wife, Olori Atuwatse III, have launched the "Elevate Africa" initiative to spotlight and nurture talents in fashion and culture.
