Opportunities at The Creative Career Summit
Obsidian Advisory Africa, a Lagos, Nigeria–based specialist firm in the fashion industry focused on career development, recruitment, HR consultation, and training, is partnering with Jobberman, Nigeria’s leading career development and recruitment solutions company, for the Creative Career Summit.
The Creative Career Summit is a one-day career fair designed for hiring, networking, and unlocking opportunities. The event will feature more than 2,000 job-ready talents from fashion, media, branding, PR, and related fields, alongside hundreds of actively recruiting businesses.
The summit will take place on Saturday, 18 October 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. Interested fashion creatives and entrepreneurs are encouraged to register to attend.

Aminda is a Nigerian womenswear brand, and it is hiring for the position of Operations and Finance Manager. Interested candidates must have experience in operations management within the fashion industry. The role includes managing production, overseeing warehouse operations, coordinating logistics, handling finances, preparing monthly financial reports for management, and implementing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Accounting and Business Finance Lead
This is a full-time role, and the ideal candidate will manage the financial operations of the Mazelle brand. Interested applicants must be disciplined, possess strong investment acumen, and demonstrate the ability to build robust accounting structures. Candidates are required to hold a degree in accounting, finance, or business management, along with a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in finance within the fashion, retail, or manufacturing sectors.

Social Media and Content Manager
This full-time role requires a creative, organized, and marketing-savvy individual who can translate Mazelle’s brand identity into a captivating digital experience that resonates with brides and a fashion-forward audience. In addition, candidates should have a keen eye for aesthetics, excellent communication skills, and be highly proactive, innovative, and results-driven.

Design and Creative Assistant
The Design and Creative Assistant will support Mazelle’s Creative Director in delivering innovative, high-quality fashion experiences. Interested candidates must have experience in fashion design, possess strong sketching and visualization skills, and be proficient in project management tools and organizational systems. He or she must also be a creative thinker with a strong sense of innovation.

Executive Assistant to the Creative Director/CEO
This is a full-time role in which the Executive Assistant will serve as the operational backbone to the CEO. The ideal candidate must be proactive, highly organized, and tech-savvy. They should have proven experience as an executive assistant, strong leadership skills, and exceptional organizational and project management abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are also essential.

Merck Foundation Fashion Awards
Merck Foundation, a philanthropic arm of the German multinational focused on health, well-being, and scientific advancement, is using fashion as a vehicle for advocacy through its 2025 Fashion Awards. Open to African fashion students and designers, the awards aim to spark awareness around key health issues.
In partnership with several African First Ladies, ten winners will each receive a $500 grant to bring their designs to life across two themes. One of the key themes, “Diabetes and Hypertension”, challenges designers to create pieces that promote awareness and education around these pressing health conditions. Interested candidates should share original sketches as an attachment, with their full name, country, name of institution and contact details to submit@merck-foundation.com. MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Phase 7
The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training is a youth development initiative designed to equip young people with tech-enabled skills to keep their microbusinesses relevant. The training will run for five weeks and will feature instructor-led online sessions and masterclasses. Interested participants and business owners will receive a data stipend, while the top 600 participants will be awarded an equipment grant of three hundred thousand naira each.
This opportunity is open to business owners in 22 states across Nigeria.
Intern for Lagos Fashion Week
Lagos Fashion Week is scheduled to take place this month, from the 29th Oct- 2nd Nov, and will feature Runway shows, Fashion business series, Swap-shop, and the Green Access showcase. They are currently looking for interns who would like to gain hands-on experience in fashion show production and learn what goes into bringing a runway event to life.
Interested applicants must be 18 and above. The deadline for the application is 11th Oct 2025.
Clearly Invincible is hosting a one-month writer’s room
Clearly Invincible is an agency dedicated to helping fashion entrepreneurs bring their visions to life. Its media platform, C.I. Weekly, highlights key voices in the industry to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen the African fashion economy.
The platform is hosting a one-month Writer’s Room Workshop for aspiring fashion writers. Interested candidates should have a strong interest in African fashion. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to pitch and produce various types of content, including short-form articles, interviews, and listicles which will be published on C.I. Weekly under the writer’s name.

EJIRO AMOS TAFIRI OPEN GRANTS FOR YOUNG NIGERIAN DESIGNERS
Ejiro Amos Tafiri is one of Nigeria’s indigenous fashion brands, known for its use of multi-textured fabrics to create pieces rooted in African royalty that embody elegance and simplicity. The brand recently announced a grant worth ₦5 million in production equipment for the Young Designers Presentation and Grant Competition, held in celebration of its 15th anniversary.
